Come Visit Us In The Land Of Enchantment

Hey Folks;

Thanks for your interest in the N BAR RANCH. We hope this web site might entice you to come for a visit and spend some time experiencing the real west in New Mexico. We are the real thing, a working ranch. There is no set daily itinerary. What we do each day is dictated by the weather and the cattle, we take it as it comes.

We do everything from the back of a horse, the way cowboying was meant to be done. Our string of horses numbers between fifty and sixty, all sizes and all types and all great. With only eight to ten folks here each week, we ride in small groups doing what needs to be done or just riding to be riding.

Please do not let the words New Mexico scare you out of a summer visit. The ranch headquarters are located at an elevation of 8,000 feet. This means our July and August days are a predictable 80 to 85 degrees with virtually no humidity. The summer nights are in the mid 40's to low 50's. Summer afternoons are usually highlighted by a quick thunderstorm breaking up to create nearly unbelievable sunsets. They do not call New Mexico the "Land of Enchantment" for no good reason.

One of the most asked questions we get from folks after reading the descriptions is, "Who comes?" It is usually 50/50 women and men, singles and couples. They come from all over the U.S. as well as Europe and Australia. We do not take children under sixteen years of age except by special arrangement or if they are with a group who reserves the whole ranch.

Well, sit back and browse the information, then look through it again tomorrow. Give us a ring or e-mail us with any questions you may have. I can guarantee you will have the best ranch experience available.
