DIY Horseback in the Gila National Forest

We will be developing our camp area here at the ranch over the next couple seasons. Right now we have corrals for your horses and primitive camping in the pines with no hook ups. We have hot showers and offer meals by the day. If you don't have a live-in trailer we are the place for you, bring your horse and use one of our cozy cabins.

The Gila is an open camping forest meaning you need no permits and can camp anywhere you like. Let me tell you there are so many perfect places it's hard to choose.
Just past Snow Lake is a great Forest Service horse camp at Loco Mountain. Steel corrals, shady sites, toilets and some of the best riding you can find anywhere, just a five minute ride to the Gila Wilderness.

If you are planning a trip to the Gila or looking for amazing country get in touch with us.
We know the Gila as well as anyone. We know trails you would never find on your own and out of the way places few ever visit. We know the best camp areas and wildlife viewing spots. We offer guide service by the day and all the free advice you would want to hear!
Weather and road conditions are available on facebook at Gila Outdoors.
